Safety concerns

Foot patrols have recently been carried out across several key areas where residents have expressed concerns about feeling unsafe, particularly when travelling to and from work. These locations have been repeatedly linked to anti‑social behaviour, including cannabis smoking, loitering, and other activities that cause disruption and discomfort to the community.

Our patrols are intended to provide a visible presence, offer reassurance, and help deter such behaviour. We will continue to conduct these patrols at different times throughout the day to ensure broad coverage and adaptability to peak activity periods.

In response to further feedback from residents, we will also seek to expand our patrol routes to additional areas where people have reported feeling unsafe. Supporting residents and reducing anti‑social behaviour remain our ongoing priorities, and we will continue to work closely with the community to address concerns as they arise.
