Junction Ward SNT Officers assist Trading Standards leading to seizure of illicit cigarettes

On Thursday 05th February officers from Junction SNT along with officers from neighbouring wards, assisted Trading Standards who were conducting an inspection at a business premises on Junction Ward. During the inspection a large quantity of illicit cigarettes, hand rolling tobacco and disposable vapes were found and seized by Trading Standards.

Also during the inspection, PC Simpson from Junction Ward SNT spotted an individual out on the street near the premises, who was holding drug paraphernalia. PC Simpson has detained and searched the individual, finding drugs. The individual was promptly arrested and subsequently charged with possession of class A drugs.

Overall a good set of results both for our Trading Standards partners and the Junction Safer Neighbourhood Team.
