|
Rick visited every street on the ward this evening, adopting self-styled 'homecoming' patrols alongside a presence to deter twilight-timed residential burglary (11.65 miles).
Emerging in Rush Green via the Foxlands Crescent 'tree tunnel' and The Chase, visits included Fels Farm Mews (4.46pm), Eastbrook Drive, Great Cullings (4.52pm, p) and all of Parish Fields to provide a uniformed presence for those returning home from work and school.
It was then on to Gorseway (5.51pm) via Valentines Way, with coverage also taking in Footpath 155 (6.02pm), a front door left ajar in Laurel Crescent and Lincoln Avenue (p).
It was then onto the west side of Dagenham Road, which included Strood (6.33pm), Thorntons Farm (6.41pm) and Leonard Avenue (6.54pm).
Wisdons Close and Alex Guy Gardens (7.09pm) to the north of the ward were reached after passing through Central Park, with a small gathering of army cadets met inbetween.
Next up was full coverage of the Parkside beat, beginning with Luke Allsopp Square (7.22pm), before taking in the likes of Woodshire Road, Tony Rawson Way, Parkside House and its new doors (4.40pm), Hooks Hall Drive (7.53pm), Grove Gardens (8pm) and Highland Avenue (p).
Hardie Road, Macdonald Avenue (8.12pm) and Eastbrook Close (8.20pm) were also checked on, followed by Felhurst Crescent, Delvers Mead and Rainham Road South up to the BP. | ||
