Cricklewood Ward - Community Update |
||
|
Dear Resident,
Over the past month, the Cricklewood team has been working hard to deliver meaningful improvements across the ward, and we wanted to share a brief update on what we've achieved together.
As a team, we’ve continued to strengthen our relationship with the community through engagement events such as Walk & Talk, Cuppa with a Copper, school visits, VAWG events, and other local activities. Alongside this, we have been actively supporting wider policing operations and working closely with Barnet CST officers, local councillors, Rough Sleeper Team, and partner agencies to address the issues that matter most to you.
In just over a month, our team has made over 10 arrests. While not all of these occurred within Cricklewood specifically, the individuals involved are known to frequent the ward and contribute to local offending. These outcomes directly support our efforts to keep the area safer.
We have also been consistently focused on safeguarding the vulnerable, disrupting drug activity, tackling shoplifting, addressing ASB, conducting proactive patrols, stop and searches, foot chases, and responding to daily incidents — all while balancing admin work, training and other operational commitments (abstractions). These activities form part of our everyday work, and we remain fully committed to reducing crime and improving safety across the ward.
Because the team has been exceptionally busy, we are unable to provide a detailed breakdown of every result from the past month. However, we will do our best to share updates more frequently rather than waiting for a monthly summary.
We would also like to reassure you that we are aware of all the concerns raised at the recent CAP Panel Meeting. Please continue to contact us, share Met Engage with neighbours and relatives, and let us know about any issues affecting your local area. Your support and communication help us police the ward more effectively.
Finally, we are proud to share that Barnet West recorded 32 arrests in the past month — surpassing the previous record of 27. This reflects the hard work of officers across the area and our shared commitment to keeping our communities safe.
Thank you for your continued support.
