Bike Marking event

York City NPT is holding a free bike‑marking event this weekend from 12:00 to 14:00 outside the York Castle Museum. The service is fully funded by the Police and normally costs £12, so it’s an ideal chance to get your bike registered at no cost.

Having your bike marked has been shown to deter thieves, and unregistered bikes are statistically more likely to be targeted. Marking your bike helps protect it and increases the likelihood of it being recovered if it is ever stolen.
