Burglary Near You - Willow Avenue, Shipley BD2

Dear Resident

You are receiving this message as you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Willow Avenue, Wrose sometime between 8pm and 9pm on 08/02/2026. The suspects entered the house through an unlocked door and managed to locate the victim's house and car keys. They then managed to reverse the victim's car, a Toyota Aygo, off the drive but we're disturbed by the victim. The suspects were unable to get the car into gear so abandoned it and fled on foot. 

CCTV in the area indicates there may have been as many as 6 suspects, all believed to be male and around 14 years of age wearing dark clothing with their faces covered. 

Please remember to keep your doors and windows locked even when you are in your home, it only takes an opportunist thief seconds to enter, grab your belongings and leave. 

If you have any information in relation to the above please contact the Police on 101 or speak to a local PCSO. Please also check your CCTV or Doorbell camera if you have one during the crime timings to see if there are any activations. 

This is also a good time to check your own security, many offences are preventable with small improvements to your homes security.
