Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries and vehicle thefts reported between the 29th January 2025 to 5th February 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough. This week the Update also includes catalytic converter thefts reported in the Borough.
Please Note Arrests. There were 53 arrests in the period January 29th 2026 to February 5th 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 9, Rape/Sexual Offence 2, Drugs 2, Drunk/Drug Charge 2, Prescribed Limit 2, Violent Crime in a Public Place 3, Violent Crime other 2, Harassment/Stalking 2, Offensive Weapon 1, Criminal Damage 1, Master Occurrence 6, Crime Other 4, Robbery 1, Theft 8, Vehicle Crime 2, Road Related Offence 1, Child Protection 3, Fraud 1, Out of Force enquiries 1.
Catalytic Converter Thefts There were seven Catalytic Converter thefts reported this week. Details of thefts can be found in the Vehicle Thefts section of the Update. Bicycle Thefts
Join us for a Crime Prevention Event at Maison du Velo in Reigate on 14/02/26 between 10am - 12pm, for a chance to meet your local officers and discuss crime prevention concerning recent residential garage and shed burglaries and bicycle thefts.
Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been two reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. These included a Telephone Fraud with the suspect claiming to be from BT and a Telephone Fraud claiming to be from Barclays Bank.
Burglaries North 29/01/2026 Between 13:00 to 21:55. Upper Pines, Woodmansterne. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Not confirmed at this time. Stolen: Jewellery. (PR 45260011313) 04/02/2026 Between 02:53 to 02:56. Chipstead Valley Road, Chipstead. Residential Burglary resulting in the theft of a car. Method of Entry – Forced entry through the front door. Between 29/01/2026 17:00 to 30/01/2026 09:15. Doods Road, Reigate. Residential Outbuilding Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry through the shed door. Chain securing the bicycles was cut through and forced open. Stolen: Three Bicycles. (PR 45260011638) 03/02/2026 00:00 to 12:00. Reigate Hill, Reigate. Residential Outbuilding Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry into a bicycle storage. Stolen: Bicycle. (PR 45260013095)
