We are investigating a report of fraud by false representation in Lincoln. We would like to identify and speak with the man in the photo as we believe he may have key information that could assist our investigation. It was reported that a man had responded to an advert for a ring on Facebook Market Place, and had paid on collection at an address in Lincoln using counterfeit £20 notes. The man is described as being white, with short brown, greying hair and a small amount of facial hair of the same colour. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue coat and black trousers. Various lines of inquiry have been conducted since the incident on 18 October 2025, and we are now reaching out to members of the public for assistance in identify this man.
