Distraction Theft

Good Morning

Tettenhall Team have been made aware that a distraction theft took place on Tettenhall High Street 07/02/2026 at 15.45hrs.

An elderly lady used the cashpoint outside the Bank on the High street, as she moved away she was approached by a male and female who spoke broken english and were asking for directions. They continued to hassle her as she walked over to her car and the male went into her coat pocket and stole cash and her bank card.

The card was used a short while later at a local supermarket.

CCTV trawls are currently taking place in the area of High Street Tettenhall

Please be aware if you know anyone who uses the cashpoint  as we have also been made aware that these two thieves have been seen hanging around the area.

Plain clothes officers will be in that area over the next few days and PCSO's will be doing some crime prevention inputs in the Bank dates to be advised.
