MacDonalds Bath Road

There have been reports of aggressive begging people sleeping rough inside and outside of MacDonalds on The Bath Road.

PCSO GILL was on patrol by himself and heard the call come out on his radio. He took the call and attended the location. There were three beggars there, he managed to move on two beggars one was well known to the police. The third beggar refused to leave the location. 

PCSO GILL requested for further units to attend to assist him. He was joined by team officers and other PCSO’s. It became apparent later the third male had committed other offences before police arrived. The third male was then arrested and taken to custody. The manager of MacDonalds was pleased with the outcome. 

Regular patrols will continue today at the location to prevent any antisocial behaviour.
