Flooding

Good afternoon, Fosse Villages, 

Unfortunately we are still seeing incoming calls come from concerning members of the community. We are seeing drivers continue to ignore clear signing, gates and tape, sign posting them away from Watery Gate Lane towards Thurlaston. You would think that with the considerable amount of flooding and the fact that we can see two cars clearly submerged would be enough of a deterrence and clear instruction for drivers to stay away from Watery Gate Lane. 

If the water levels, signage and submerged vehicles are still not enough for your judgement, then please consider using the water depth post as a gauge for the depth of the water. Please do not risk your modes of transports, prize possessions and even your life, thinking you can cross such flooded areas of the county. It is not worth it. The 5 minute detour is there for a reason. 

For those of you that are following the diversions and instructions, thank you for your patience and cooperation.
