Walksafe App

The WalkSafe personal safety app is now available to use throughout the counties of West Mercia.

If you’re not familiar with WalkSafe, it allows people to stay connected with those they trust to provide reassurance when travelling or socialising.

The free app helps find bars and restaurants that have been approved as safe venues across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire. 

People can also share their location and journey route through the app, as well as activate an SOS alert if they don’t feel safe.

Many women and girls tell us they feel vulnerable after dark, so tools like this play an important role in helping them feel safer and reduces vulnerability across our communities. 

Safer Neighbourhood Teams are actively promoting the app within communities but it’s available for anyone to use.

WalkSafe can be downloaded to your phone from the Apple App Store and Google Play by scanning the QR code
