News Update from PCSO Jason Miller from Maidenhead Central Team 

Following an incident in Maidenhead at 3 stores on the morning of 4th February, four suspects have been charged with 13 offences between them so far. 

A 32 year old female has been charged with Robbery, 5 X Shopliftings, Theft and Assault  -  remanded in police custody.

A 45 year old female has been charged with 2 X Shopliftings and Assault  - remanded in police custody & remains under investigation for drug driving and a further shoplifting incident.  

A 42 year old male has been charged with Shoplifting & bailed for 4 further shoplifting offences. 

A 56 year old female has been charged with Fraud by false representation & has been bailed for 2 shoplifting offences.

The arrests followed reports of 4 suspects targeting stores in Maidenhead, they were all stopped in a vehicle which was seized by police on Moor Lane, after being seen by PCSO's Miller & Knight.  We had been assisting with related CCTV enquiries a short while before when the car being used by the group magically appeared directly in front of us,  it was followed whilst officers were guided to the area. 

This was a good example of police working closely with the targeted stores in order to locate and arrest those involved. 

Some of the stolen goods were recovered and returned to the grateful stores, more enquiries will be conducted to secure further charges in the coming weeks.
