TAMWORTH MEN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS OFFENCES

ARREST | Two men have been arrested after we seized a large amount of cocaine and cannabis in Tamworth today (Friday 6 February).

Our major and organised crime teams carried out warrants in the town this morning.

They found just over half-a-kilo of cocaine and 1.7-kilogrammes of cannabis.

A 34-year-old and a 31-year-old man, both from the Tamworth area, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Both remain in custody while our enquiries continue.

Today’s activity follows our ongoing commitment to proactively target serious and organised crime across our county.

We launched Operation Target in May 2023 and have been working hard to identify, disrupt and pursue criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
