Suspicious Activity Reports

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following reports of a man wearing a beanie who has been seen taking photographs of people in the Tadcaster area.

Officers have received a number of calls from concerned members of the public who have reported a man taking pictures without making his intentions clear. Understandably this has caused concern among the local community. 

At this stage, the man’s behaviour has not been confirmed as criminal, but officers are keen to identify and speak with him to establish the circumstances.

The only description currently available is of a male wearing a beanie and a black scarf covering their face. No further description is known.

We are asking anyone who has seen this man, or who may have information that could help officers identify him, to contact North Yorkshire Police. We would also encourage anyone who has been approached or photographed in similar circumstances to come forward too.
