||
|
Good afternoon, Resident,
Firstly, I just wanted to make you aware that the Prevent and Protect Fraud Officers are coming to Ramsgate on Tuesday 10th February 2026. They will be available to offer advice on fraud, password safety, and how to avoid becoming a victim of rogue traders and fraudsters.
They will be available at the following locations; 10th February - Lloyds, Queen Street, Ramsgate - 9.30am to 12.30pm 10th February – Halifax, Queen Street, Ramsgate - 1pm to 3.30pm
Secondly, I just wanted to touch on ASB within the town centre.
As I'm sure most are aware, there were multiple incidents of criminal damage on the morning of Saturday 31st January 2026, with a number of windows in the town centre area damaged. The individuals responsible was arrested and put before the court on Monday 2nd February 2026, and sentenced to 23 weeks in prison. This was an isolated incident which has been dealt with promptly.
Further to this. over the last couple of months, several individuals have been arrested and charged in relation to breaches of their Community Protection Notice's, which had been issued as a result of said individuals unacceptable anti-social behaviour within the town. There are several upcoming court dates in relation to this.
We will continue to work with the community in identifying ASB and dealing with issues robustly. If you have any immediate concerns or information regarding issues in the town, please reply to this message and get in touch. I would be more than happy to arrange an appropriate date and time to discuss any issues in person.
Many thanks, PC 13524 Ryan Brown Beat Officer | Central Harbour | Ramsgate E-mail - 13524@kent.police.uk
