🚓 Community Speed Operation – Uxbridge Road 🚓

This morning your local policing team carried out a speed enforcement operation on Uxbridge Road, where the speed limit is 20mph.

Over the course of the operation, 103 vehicles were monitored using a handheld speed device. Here’s what we found:

While the majority of drivers stayed within (or very close to) the speed limit, a significant number were still travelling too fast for this busy residential area.

These 20mph zones are in place to protect pedestrians, cyclists, and all road users—especially around shops, crossings, and schools. Even small increases in speed can make a big difference to safety.

We’ll continue to carry out regular speed checks in the area, and we appreciate the community’s support in helping make Uxbridge Road safer for everyone.
