Bringing Communities Together: Inter Faith Luncheon in Walthamstow |
||
|
On Thursday 05th February, Superintendent Sarah Jackson hosted an inter‑faith luncheon in Walthamstow, bringing together key faith leaders from across Waltham Forest. Faith leaders were joined by the Leader of the Council, local councillors and community policing teams from across the Borough.
The event was a meaningful opportunity to recognise the vital role that faith and community relationships play in keeping our borough strong, resilient, and united. Over the past year, global and national events have highlighted just how important these trusted relationships are. Our ability to come together, listen, support one another, and respond collectively has never mattered more.
We had valuable discussions around:
🔹 Hate crime reporting 🔹 Feeling safe within the community 🔹 How we continue to build trust and confidence across all communities 🔹 A productive Q&A with genuine, open dialogue
We will be utilising feedback and suggestions with a view to further improve our service to communities.
These partnerships are essential to ensuring Waltham Forest remains a place where all our communities feel heard, respected, and safe. | ||
