Operation Skybridge Deployment |

Good morning residents!
On Wednesday 11th February 2026, Operation Skybridge will deploy to Aston. Working a mixture of shifts, including early mornings and throughout the night, they will provide a presence lasting several weeks. The deployment will compromise of both reassurance and deterrence patrols, as well as pro-actively seeking out those intent on causing harm to your community.
The team are information and intelligence led and will deploy across Aston with this is mind, adapting as required. Drawing on an extensive skillset and a large amount of kit and equipment, the team will work closely with your dedicated local neighbourhood teams to target serious and acquisitive crimes such as Burglary, Robbery and Vehicle crime.
What can you do? Ensure that all valuables are removed from vehicles, including anything that may look valuable. Consider using steering locks, signal blocking key pouches, after market immobilisers and trackers. Even smart tags hidden within the vehicle can work extremely well. Make sure that all windows & doors are locked on your property. Consider installing CCTV cameras, security lights, video doorbells and alarm systems - All of which can make your property less attractive to criminals.
Remain alert to suspicious behaviour, trust your gut and report anything you feel you need to.
