Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the team.

❓ What's been happening ❓

Warrant. Officers executed a warrant in relation to the Animal Welfare Act this week. A pregnant dog was seized due to the condition she was living in and the investigation is now being progressed by the RSCPA.

Road Traffic Operation. A big thank you from me to our Special Constabulary who held a road traffic operation this week in Hall Green. In total 166 vehicles were stopped, 7 vehicles seized and 24 tickets issued for a range of offences including numberplate offences, illegal tints and driving without due care and attention. We will be doing more of these in the coming weeks and months across Hall Green and Springfield as we know this is a cause of concern without the community.

Community Drop-in Hall Green. PCSO Devey and I held our community drop-in at Highfield Hall on Saturday. It was a great turnout and a positive event where we were able to share some of the work the team have been doing and also look at ways to tackle local community issues. Thanks to all those who attended.

Extra Patrols. Our officers have been working into the early hours of the morning within Springfield and Hall Green tackling a wide range of offences including motoring offences, drug offences and general anti-social behaviour following feedback from residents.

Vehicle Seizures. We've seized multiple vehicles this week which have been spotted by officers but also reported by the community. If you notice a suspicious vehicle in your area, please let us know so we can take a look.

✅ Crime Prevention Tips for the darker nights

❗Vehicle crime is a continued priority across both wards❗

Most crime is opportunistic, and offenders are looking for the quickest, easiest target. Please take a few seconds to double checks your security routines.

Ensure your vehicle is locked with no valuables left on display – even a jacket or loose change can tempt a thief. Utilise extra security measures such as steering wheel locks.
