Parking issues - Long Riston

Good evening, 

Several of you have written to me advising that the Police cones at the junction of The Riseway and Main Street had been moved, and vehicles continue to park there. 

I have also received a number of complaints relating to parking near the Micro Pig.  

Therefore, I have placed additional cones and tape to remind people they should be no less than 10m from a junction. 

I cannot be in Long Riston every day unfortunately and had hoped this would work. If it does not, then I urge you to use Op Snap. It is a means for you to report road traffic offences when I'm not there. Photos are accepted as long as they clearly show the offence and the registration plate of the vehicle.

If a gentle reminder does not work, then please use it, as perhaps some points and a fine for “parking space as to cause danger to other road users” will. 

If you do not live in the Main Street and drive to collect your children, please respect those who do, and park safely and sensibly.
