🚓 Local Policing Update – Keeping Our Community Safe

Over the past month, officers have been working closely with Rutland County Council, LFRS, and local partners to address concerns raised by residents across Oakham.

Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB)

We have carried out regular patrols in:
• Oakham Town Centre
• Cutts Close Park
• Colleridge Way
• Derwent Drive
• Welland Way Park
• The Sidings

These locations were highlighted due to ASB reports from the community. Officers have also been engaging with youth clubs and schools to offer support and early intervention. Additional patrols have taken place around Oakham’s shopping areas to prevent any ASB from developing.

Drugs

We have been active in areas where drug activity has been reported, working with partners and housing providers to ensure concerns are addressed and long‑term improvements are made.
Several vehicles have been stopped, and investigations are ongoing into the supply of drugs within the town.

Road Safety

Alongside our Road Policing colleagues, officers have stopped multiple vehicles and spoken with drivers regarding a range of road‑safety offences. Appropriate action has been taken where necessary to help keep our roads safe.
