On the 4th February, PC Brett, PC Eze and PCSO Simpson had a great time talking to residents at our drop in surgery at Sainsbury’s in Highland’s Village. We really appreciated everyone that came to speak to us, we love meeting you. We are aware of the recent burglaries, and we thank those that brought them to our attention and we appreciate hearing the personal impact they have had on you. After listening to your concerns about ladders being left on the tracks that burglars could be using, we took swift action and visited the TFL Depot and spoke to staff. We reiterated your concerns to them and they were very surprised to hear what we were saying and thanked us for pointing it out as they use external contractors that are not always supervised. We also visited Oakwood station and spoke to station management there. They were also surprised that ladders were being left unattended and have contacted the engineers and contractors to get the ladders removed in order to make the tracks and your gardens more secure. Officers will also be conducting even more patrols of the area, especially on late shifts in order to proactively deter any potential suspects that may be frequenting the area. We hope this information’s puts your minds at ease somewhat, and as always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. |
