We want to remind residents of the rules regarding parking. Please be mindful when parking during the school hours – officers will be continuing to monitor this. Examples of Illegal Parking: • Double Yellow Lines: Parking or waiting is prohibited at any time. • Single Yellow Lines: Parking, loading, and unloading are prohibited during the times shown on the accompanying sign. • Yellow Zig-Zag Lines: Stopping or waiting is strictly prohibited. • Pedestrian Crossings: Parking is not allowed on a pedestrian crossing, including the area marked by zig-zag lines. • Blue Badge Holder Spaces: Parking without a valid Blue Badge. Consequences of Illegal Parking: • Fines: Illegal parking can result in fines, ranging from £80 upwards. • Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN): A fine issued directly to the driver. • Court Appearance: In some cases, illegal parking can lead to a court appearance. • Towing: Vehicles parked illegally may be towed away. • Penalty Points: In some cases, illegal parking can result in penalty points being added to your driving license.
