Officers engage with local school regarding online safety.

Officers attended a local school in the ward, as a way to educate pupils on online safety this afternoon. 

The session focussed on speaking to pupils regarding the potential risks of social media and highlighting what steps students should take if they are uncomfortable with what they have viewed online. 

Students are encouraged to speak to trusted adults or report concerns to teachers if they feel unsafe online. It is extremely important, now more than ever, to protect personal information online. 

Officers will continue to work closely with schools: to support young people, raise awareness, and to help keep our community safe online.
