Having escaped Groundhog Day, today Rick's patrol saw open space coverage, along with visits to the northern and Rush Green beats (9.24 miles). Beginning with 1.4 miles of the Eastbrookend Country Park, including Tom Thumb and Bardag lakes, it was on through Fels Field and Central Park to check on Wisdons Close and Alex Guy Gardens (12.01pm, p).
Heading back through the park, the west side of Dagenham Road was covered in full, including Leonard Avenue (12.16pm), Thorntons Farm Avenue and Philip Close.
In Fourth Avenue, 8 college students gathered in the car port were spoken to and moved on, followed by checks on the flats in Dagenham Road (12.42pm, p) and a presence in and around the Co-op (12.50pm). There was a return to Fourth Avenue before ticking off the Thorntons Farm Avenue alley.
It was then on to visit every street on the east side of Rush Green, from Lincoln Avenue to Gorseway (1.19pm).
Harveys Lane, Great Cullings (p), Valentines Way and Fels Farm Mews (1.42pm) were patrolled late on. |
