Crime update

Please read our latest crime update.

Between 4th and 28th January we have had 6 Thefts from a Motor Vehicle from which happened on Franks Avenue.

04 - 30/01/2026 - Dunbar Road - Theft from a Motor Vehicle. Owner was on holiday abroad and it is unsure of when exactly theft had taken place. Approx. £5 loose change was stolen.

26/01/2026 between 01:10 - 01:15hrs - Franks Avenue x2 - Theft from a Motor Vehicle, 3x pairs of gloves from one of them and  £3 cash was stolen from the second car.

27/01/2026 between 02:20 - 02:30hrs - Franks Avenue - Theft from a Motor Vehicle, Builders tools of approx. value of £1500 was stolen from the car.

Between 10:00 on 27th and 13:00 on 28th January 26 - Theft from a Motor Vehicle  - Highbury Close, Various items including jacket of total value £1700 and work documents was stolen.

28/01/2026 at 1240hrs - Kingston Road - Theft from a Motor Vehicle, Catalytic Converter was stolen, value of £600.

29/01/2026 between 08:00 and 16:52hrs -  Bazalgette Gardens - Residential Burglary, Victim returned home to find grubby marks on kitchen door handle and on the worktop by the window. Nothing noticed being missing.

03/02/2026 - 03:21hrs - Kingston Road - Attempted Burglary, resident believed to disturb the intruder in their back garden potentially stealing bicycles.

Please stay safe, lock your doors and windows close the curtains to prevent opportunists to see what valuable item you have in your house. 

Double lock cars and do not leave anything valuable visible or hidden in the boot of your car.
