Positive Result from Cally SNT – Drug-Related Arrest

Morning all,

Cally SNT achieved a fantastic result yesterday.

The male believed to be responsible for attracting significant drug-related activity around the Cally, near Kings Cross was arrested by Ali and Abdul Hamid. He was located sleeping rough on Calshot Street.

He was initially arrested for breach of tag. While in custody, officers discovered he was concealing 30 wraps of Class A drugs in his mouth.  He was further arrested for possession with intent to supply.

Due to the circumstances, he required hospital assessment before interview. He has now been bailed for the drug offences with conditions not to enter the boroughs of Islington or Camden. He is appearing in court today for breach of bail.

As a result of the arrest and the extensive associated admin, both Ali and Abdul completed an extended shift, finishing at 1am instead of their scheduled 5pm.

We are hopeful that this arrest and the imposed conditions will have a positive impact on reducing drug-related ASB in and around the Cally.
