✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

It's been a busy week for the team this week, with a particular focus given to vehicle crime and the linked anti-social behaviour. We've had the force-wide initiative Op Advance in Dudley which saw our team, along with colleagues from Wolverhampton and Force Traffic, target speeding vehicles in the areas of highest concern - including Dixons Green Road and Saltwells Road. Hundreds of cars passed through our check sites, and this is something we will certainly look to incorporate into our routine activities where possible.

Op Advance also saw us target what is likely the issue causing you the most concern - Off Road bikes. We targeted our attention in the Dudley Wood Road area and surrounding area, and have begun to work with our partners at the Council. Aside from Op Advance, as part of our ‘Business as Usual’, we have patrolled the areas regularly at varying times of day. Home enforcement visits have also been conducted with some of the individuals we have identified as being responsible. Rest assured, this is only the beginning of our attempts to deal with this issue - much more is to come because we know how big of an impact this is having on you all!

Numerous vehicles have been seized this week for No Insurance - something I'm sure you will have seen if you follow us on Social Media. Other traffic offences have also been dealt with, and this is always something we try to target. Please make sure that you drive safely at all times.

Take notice of the attached image below. If you have a CCTV camera or Doorbell, please consider registering the camera with our secure CCTV database - it could prove invaluable in helping with investigating incidents that have happened in the area.

✅ Crime Prevention Tips:

As always, it is vital that you're mindful of your personal security. Keep your windows and doors locked at all times, and consider additional steps such as Security Lighting, CCTV systems and Video Doorbells.

You should also consider taking additional steps to keep your vehicles secure such as Faraday Pouches for the keys, and Steering Wheel locks.
