REQUIRED: Ward Panel Chair

We are in search of a Chair for our Quarterly Ward Panel Meetings. 

The Role

The Ward Panel Chair is a volunteer community member who leads the Ward Panel and acts as a link between residents and the Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT). The Chair sets the meeting agenda, provides leadership, and ensures discussions focus on local safety issues. They facilitate open, balanced discussion so community concerns are heard and help the panel agree on local policing priorities. The Chair also supports constructive engagement with the police by sharing panel decisions with the wider community and monitoring how effectively agreed priorities are being addressed.

Skills Required

What is a Ward Panel?
A Ward Panel is a community-led group where local residents meet regularly with our Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) made up of dedicated police officers and PCSOs assigned to your area. Ideally chaired by a volunteer, the panel reviews local crime trends and discusses issues like antisocial behaviour, crime, or safety concerns. Together, we set priorities and action plans to address what matters most to you.
