Foot patrol (02/02/2026)

Today's patrol saw all of the Parkside beat covered and 3 searches conducted in Rush Green as part of the team's focus on college-based ASB (est. 7.6 miles).

The morning recorded visits to the likes of Hooks Hall Drive (9.33am), Ely Gardens, Grove Gardens (9.45am, p), Tony Rawson Way and Eastbrook Close (10.05am), followed by Macdonald Avenue, Woodshire Road and Luke Allsopp Square (10.31am).

It was then on to Rush Green's Fourth Avenue (10.47am), via Central Park, to check the car port, which has attracted college gatherings in the past several weeks.

After the visiting the Dagenham Road flats above the shops, 3 students were found in the communal area with a smell of cannabis present and searched (p). Despite one attempting to run, he was detained by a lightning-fast Lee.

It was then into Harveys Lane and around all of Parish Fields, including Bluebell Close (11.44am), along with Great Cullings, Eastbrook Drive (12.13pm) and The Point (12.29pm), a swim on the front lakes, to monitor college ASB.

There was still time to see a tree-planting initiative at the Eastbrookend Country Park, headed up by Ranger, Carol (p).
