This Morning's Patrols

Good afternoon!

This morning #PCBenB and #PCAlexM have been out assisting our little people, keeping them safe by patrolling Hawley Primary School during opening time. 

We’ve been speaking to road users parking in the vicinity of the school, making sure they park properly – not on yellow lines or zig-zag markings - so that young people attending the school can get there safely.

We’ve taken the details of cars who were parked contrary to the Highway Code – they’ll receive a letter to begin with, however if they’re found breaking the law again they’ll be dealt with appropriately.

We’ll also be working alongside the school’s Junior Road Safety Officers to continue this work and support them in keeping their classmates safe.

The school has a park and stride scheme which allows parents/guardians to drop off at Hawley Memorial and walk the short distance in to school, it’s a wonderful scheme which means we can all get our steps in and look after the road safety of everyone.
