Rural Task Force - Arrest |
||
|
Last week Fylde Rural Task Force sighted a vehicle in Wesham in the early hours of the morning👀
The team recognised the driver as being someone currently disqualified from driving and she was swiftly detained and arrested. The driver was also drug wiped at the road side and tested positive for cocaine✅
Following a search of the driver and the vehicle, several snap bags of powder believed to be cocaine were located❄️
The driver was further arrested and taken to custody where she refused to carry out the relevant drug drive procedure✖️
Tia SMITH (aged 37) of The Close, Kirkham was charged with driving whilst disqualified, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving without insurance and possession of class A.
SMITH will appear before Lancaster Magistrates Court on the 13th February 2026👨🏼⚖️
Fylde Rural Task Force will continue to target and prosecute those who commit traffic offences including The Fatal Five. These types of traffic offences are irresponsible, selfish and dangerous.
Not only could it cost you a night in the cells, but it could result in the loss of your own life or the life of an innocent member of the public. | ||
