Neighbourhood Alert – Suspicious Incident

A resident has reported signs that someone has attempted to enter their home on Rhea Hall Estate, Highley on the 26th January during the morning school run. Although there was evidence of an intruder, nothing was taken, and it appears they may have been disturbed.

We’re asking everyone in the area to remain alert and report anything unusual.

If you have CCTV, doorbell cameras, or other home security systems, please take a moment to review your footage from this morning in case it captured anything that could assist. If any footage is located please email ch.snt@westmercia.police.uk, reference number 00139_i_26012026

General Home Security Advice from Police:

Keep all doors and windows locked, even when stepping out briefly.

Ensure side gates, sheds, and garages are secure.

Keep valuables out of sight from windows.

Use timer switches for lights if you’re out early or returning late.

Check that window and door locks are in good working order.

Consider alarms, CCTV, or video doorbells where possible.

Report suspicious behaviour to police via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
