Red kite are running an exhibition called What were you wearing, Which is a installation raising awareness and challenging assumptions about rape and sexual assault, Between 14- 21 Feb 9am - 5pm in the Marlowe's Shopping centre Hemel Hempstead.
Who are Red kite?
Red Kite offers a comprehensive recovery service for survivors of rape and sexual abuse in Hertfordshire and West Essex. The service includes: Helpline Support: Available 7 days a week from 8pm-10pm and two afternoons per week from 3-4pm. Volunteers are trained and experienced in providing support and therapy. Therapy Options: Therapy is provided through one-to-one sessions or group sessions, tailored to the individual's needs. Counseling: Free counseling is available to help survivors learn new coping strategies and manage their daily responsibilities. Thrive Groups: Starting from September 2024, Thrive groups will be run, focusing on recovery and providing education for up to 12 participants over 10 weeks. Support for All: Services are free and available to all residents of East and North Herts and West Essex who are aged 18 or over. Empowerment: Red Kit Advocates for empowerment through group work and support, providing a safe space for survivors to share their experiences and learn from others who have had similar experiences.
Officers from Daisu, Hate crime officers and your local officers will be holding engagements along side this event to raise awareness and give advice and support to who ever needs it.
