Newquay neighbourhood team had been on the lookout for this vehicle following reports from members of the public of poor driving and children being carried within the vehicle without seat belts or car seats. The vehicle was seized and the driver was reported for a number of offences including carrying a child under 3 without a seat belt, no insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence. Failing to wear a seat belt significantly increases the chances of serious or fatal injuries, so please buckle up and ensure your passengers do as well! Officers completed appropriate safeguarding referrals for the child.
