Riverside Beat Weekly Roundup |
||
|
Good afternoon all,
Please see this weeks round-up of some of the work the team have been involved in.
Officers have been out and about carrying out proactive patrols around Castle Gardens following a couple of serious incidents recently. During these patrols, an illegal e‑bike was seized after it was ridden directly towards officers. 🚫🚴♂️
This week, our PCs also arrested two individuals wanted on court-issued warrants. 🔗👏
Last night, PCSO V supported Operation Pedalfast in the city centre, targeting illegal e‑bikes and e‑scooters. ⚡🚔
A safeguarding visit was completed after concerns that a property was being exploited by individuals involved in criminality. We’re now working closely with the housing provider to ensure the resident gets the right support, and action will be taken where needed. 🏠🤝
Residents at Pavilion Close reported students using the area to smoke drugs during college breaks. Officers attended, stop-searched three males, seized cannabis, and issued out-of-court disposals. 🚭📘
PCSO Hafsa held engagement sessions at Hotel Voco and De Montfort University, discussing local concerns and sharing safety advice with the community. 💬🛡️
We’ve also been meeting with residents at Jarrom Court to address ongoing anti-social behaviour. Individuals have now been identified and we’re beginning the incremental approach to tackle the issues. 📝🚨
As always, please report your concerns to police via the Leicestershire police website, neighbourhood link, 101 or in case of an emergency, 999.
Many thanks
Sgt 1509 David Wilson
