Burglary Near You - Duckworth Grove

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Duckworth Grove, this occurred on Thursday 30th January between 1810hrs and 1911hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN TIMES AND DATES STATED SUSPECTS HAVE ENTERED VIA THE BACK DOOR BY USING FORCE ON THE LOCK WHERE THEY HAVE THEN MADE AN UNTIDY SEARCH BEEN CHALLENGED BY A NEIGHBOUR AND HAVE THEN MADE OFF IN A VEHICLE MAKING GOOD THEIR ESCAPE

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 30th January between 1810hrs and 1911hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
