Crime Prevention – Keep Your Home & Vehicle Secure We’re seeing opportunities being taken by thieves – a quick moment is all they need. A few simple steps can make a big difference:
🚓 Protect Your Vehicle Always lock your car, then check again to make sure. Remove valuables or keep them out of sight – bags, laptops, and tools are targets. Take keys and fobs inside your home, not left at the front door, secure keyless fobs in a signal blocking pouch and keep out of sight. Park in well‑lit, overlooked areas or use a driveway wherever possible. Consider steering locks, dashcams, and other visible deterrents. 🏠 Prevent Housebreakings Lock doors and windows, even if you’re just in the garden or another room. Use timer switches to make your home look occupied when you’re out. Keep keys, wallets, and handbags out of sight and away from doors/letterboxes. Don’t leave tools or ladders outside – they can be used to break in. Make sure sheds and garages are securely locked. 👀 Look Out for Each Other Report suspicious behaviour immediately.
