Dear residents,
On Thursday 29th January, officers issued a community protection warning (CPW) to a community interest company: We R Blighty, who are usually standing outside Tesco in Holland Park Avenue W11. Several reports were made from residents and businesses in Norland ward about aggressiveness and unprofessional behaviour by fundraisers. A community protection warning is a formal written warning, which can be issued by police or council officers to individuals or businesses causing persistent, unreasonable and detrimental antisocial behaviour in a local area. It serves as a final warning to stop the behaviour before a legal community protection notice (CPN) is issued. Breach of a CPN becomes in a criminal offence, leading to fines and arrest.
