Vulnerable missing person found in Fulham and returned to hospital |

Dear residents,
On Sunday 18/01/2026 there was a report of a male that had been reported missing by a hospital in East London a briefing pack was sent to officers in the Metropolitan Police area to be on the lookout for. Later on that afternoon I came across him wandering around all desheveled in North End Road SW6 near to Jaffa Bakehouse and sat him down outside whilst I ordered him a drink, I used my radio to let my force control room know I had found him safe and well and required transport to take him back to hospital, I could see that the weather was turning cold and I wanted this person to be returned safely to his bed where he could continue his medical treatment to continue his recovery from illness. A Police van turned up a little while later that took him back to hospital where he was checked back in for recovery. Sometimes in Policing its not always about locking up people for criminal offences or deterring crimes but by showing people empathy and supporting them in there times of need, and clearly this person was in need and needed my help and lucky for him he met with me on his travels where I was there to comfort him and get him returned to a place of safety.
