We have shutters on Berrymead

We have been out on patrol today, and visited Berrymead Gardens and checked out the new shutters. Hopefully this will be a positive ending to much of the issues, but only time will tell. I will continue to patrol the area and will keep you updated. It is important that you keep any messages about this coming in, but if you want to raise any further issues on this or are unhappy, then please liaise with Sgt Zealey when sending your messages. This is a big win though, as a community, you have created enough pressure to create change and action. I think it is a great achievement.

I have also translated all the paperwork of the street drinkers Criminal Behaviour Order and he has a clear map showing the area he is prohibited from entering. This includes the whole of the South Acton ward and Town Centre.

2 beggers were also issued ASB warnings and advised to stop begging around Morrisons.

I also wanted to say that one of the unexpected benefits of this new system is the amount of you who are now stopping me in the street to say hello and chat, In 19 years of Policing I have not experienced this very much at all. It is lovely to hear that you are reading the emails and feeling a little bit more positive about your local police team. It was actually for this that it was sold to the Met, but us old sceptics weren't convinced it would work. So it is great to see actually in person.
