β Good News from Your Local Policing Team β
Hello to you all,
Iβd like to take a moment to update you as we end the month of January of the recent work which the Hillfields Team have been doing of late.
In January the team have worked hard around protecting members of public in particular some arrests we have made, PC Pell identified Two Suspects for an incident on King William Street of a Theft From Motor Vehicle offender and a separate incident of a someone brandishing a large knife. This led to the arrest and subsequent Charge and Remand of both persons.
PC Barrett has been focused around disrupting persistent offenders causing harm within Hillfields where he has completed Two Criminal Behaviour Orders, this will allow the team with the support of the courts to disrupt these people who are causing most harm to your area.
PC Bismillah has been problem solving around Anti-Social behaviour on Coronation Road and Signet Square, this has led to partnership working with Local Authority, Housing providers and residents to reduce these issues, this has also led to Community Protection Warnings being given out to identified people causing these issues.
PC Griffin has had investigations within Hillfields where he has successfully achieved evidence in various crimes which have led to charges being authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service but also working with facial recognition identified other suspects for the team to arrest and disrupt.
PCSO Gilkes has kept up the positive community engagement within Hillfields where in January all shops & fast food outlets have been visited in order to share crime information but also build on links within the community.
PCSO Petrosino has been actively involved in the Community meetings where Two Cuppa with Copper events have been held at The Gateway which has allowed for both staff and residents to engage with their local team.

It has come to our attention that there have been reports of furniture and unwanted items being dumped on the streets of Hillfields in particular around Vaxuhall Street, I will encourage you all to be aware of the website βFix My Streetβ. This will allow yourselves as residents to report these matters along with damaged street furniture to the Local Authority:
