Drug Activity - What to Look Out For

Dear Residents,

We are continuing our work to tackle drug‑related activity in the local area, and your support is an important part of keeping our community safe. We would like to share some guidance on what to look out for and how you can report concerns.

Signs of Possible Drug-Related Activity

You may notice one or more of the following:

🔹 Frequent short visits to the same property, often lasting only a few minutes.
🔹 Increased footfall or vehicle traffic, especially late at night or at unusual times.
🔹 People waiting in cars, sometimes with engines running, who leave quickly after a brief meeting.
🔹 Strange or chemical smells coming from a property.
🔹 Windows constantly covered, or lights on all day and night.
🔹 Anti-social behaviour, including noise, arguments, or visitors who appear intoxicated.
🔹 Discarded drug paraphernalia, such as small plastic bags, foil, syringes, or vape cartridges modified for drug use.

How You Can Help

If you see something suspicious, please don’t intervene. Instead:

✔ Record what you’ve seen — descriptions, dates, times, vehicle registrations.
✔ Report information using one of the following:

Your information, even if it seems small, can contribute to a bigger picture and help us take meaningful action.
