Drug arrests |

|
On Wednesday 28th January local neighbourhood officers made two important drug arrests near Westminster Cathedral. Following recent intelligence, officers from Vincent Square and neighbouring wards conducted an early morning patrol targeting drug dealers. With close coordination between uniformed officers, CCTV operators and plain clothes officers, known drug users were observed gathering on Victoria Street in a manner which suggested an imminent drug deal. The group then followed one male suspect across the Cathedral Piazza. This suspect had previously been seen on CCTV dealing near King’s Scholar’s Passage. A second much younger male suspect joined the group. Multiple drug exchanges then took place on Ambrosden Avenue at which point officers swiftly intervened and arrested both suspects. Searches at the site and later in custody revealed significant quantities of Class A drugs thought to include heroin and crack cocaine, as well as large amounts of cash. Further details on these two important arrests will be circulated in due course. | ||
