Drug Dealing - SEATON |
||
|
Hello Resident,
On Friday 23rd January 2026, officers from the Seaton Neighbourhood Team were assisted by the Axminster Team on an intelligence led traffic stop. The previous day police received reports that a vehicle had been seen to taking part in a suspected drug deal involving the exchange of white powder.
Officers sighted the vehicle and stopped it on Royal Observer Way, Seaton. The driver and vehicle were both searched under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. During the search a bag was found concealed within the car containing 43 individual bags of white powder. The male was arrested for Possession with intent to supply and around £1200 in cash was also seized.
The powder was subsequently tested and proved to be cocaine with a street value of around £3.5k. This was a highly successful stop, removing around £4.7k from a organised crime group. It was all started from a report from a member of the public which was submitted as intelligence. No matter how big or small the information you have, it is always welcomed and assists us in tackling crime.
The male was subsequently charged with the offence and remanded to the next court. The court has seen fit to remand the male in prison until trial.
