Attempt Burglary Near You - Cleckheaton Road

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Cleckheaton Road, this occurred on Monday 26th January between 1525hrs and 1535hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

Two unknown suspects have attended address in dark clothing, gloves and balaclavas, using something to snap the patio door lock before making off in unknown means when interrupted before they could enter

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Monday 26th January between 1500hrs and 1600hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
