📞 Important Warning: “Stay on the Line” Bank ScamsSome scammers will ask you to call your bank while you are still on the phone with them. This is a common and dangerous trick. They may: Tell you not to hang upClaim they will “transfer” you to your bankAsk you to dial your bank’s number while they stay on the linePretend to hang up, but keep the phone line open⚠️ Even if you think you have called your bank, the scammer may still be on the line listening. ✅ What to do instead: Hang up completelyWait at least 5 minutes, or use a different phoneCall your bank using the number on the back of your cardNever follow instructions from anyone who tells you not to hang up👉 Genuine police officers and banks will never insist you stay on the phone.
