Positive action following Neighbourhood Policing and Rural Crime Team patrols - Clywedog Forest

On Sunday 25th January 2025, in response to Natural Resources Wales concerns , Lampeter Neighbourhood Policing and Rural Crime Team attended at Clywedog Forest above Llanfair Clydogau. 

This follows NRW reporting off-road biking in forestry areas within Ceredigion, which is contrary to regulations. This has an impact on wildlife and also causes a nuisance to those using the forestry legitimately. 

One male was reported for offences and warned under s.59 Police Reform Act 2002. 

Police will continue to patrol the Forestry areas and deal with those who ride ‘off road’ contrary to the Road Traffic Act and regulations. 

Police and NRW urge riders and motorists to read the relevant signage before entering forestry areas.
