Three arrested following shop theft

Dear Resident,

Yesterday afternoon, officers were on foot patrol in the city when a member of the public alerted them to two men stealing mobile phones from the Apple Store in the Grand Arcade.

Officers quickly followed the pair as they got into a vehicle and updated our Force Control Room, who coordinated additional units.

Just minutes later, neighbourhood officers stopped the vehicle on the M11 and recovered the stolen phones.

Two 16‑year‑olds and a 17‑year‑old were arrested and remain in custody in connection with the incident.
